"Its January" Shouldn't Be An Excuse

I absolutely can not hold my excitement for Florida! Officially in eight days I'm escaping this tundra weather in New York and landing in paradise. Sounds too good to be true.

Anyways for my preparations, I decided I needed a bathing suit just because the hotel is equipped with a pool. It makes sense. Yesterday I went to my local mall to scout for the perfect bathing suit. H&M, Forever 21, JCPenny and even Macy's didn't answer my prayers. While I complained to my mom about my hopes being destroyed, I came to a realization. We're still in the middle of winter, who's going to need a bathing suit? But that shouldn't even matter doesn't anyone know this is the perfect time to display bathing suits! Think of the lucky minority who are going to mini vacations. If was the boss of a store, bathing suits on the racks all year round!

PS. Like my shirt? I think I'm going to bring it to Florida. Who cares, floral in January!

Current Obsessions # 1

1. Skrillex : Until today I haven't gotten a chance to listen to Skrillex personally, but I wish I did sooner! I love the beats, drops, mood everything about it. Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites is on replay at my Itunes.

2. The Doors : Please tell me people still listen to The Doors? I think one of the first bands in the 60's to have a kind of psychedelic beat. Love Jim Morrison's poetic lyrics - The Lizard King! Current song can't stop playing Not to Touch the Earth.

3. I got these Forever 21 boots on Christmas and I haven't took them off, seriously. The brown color goes with everything I wear and with the chilly weather its suitable. I love you boots!

4. February 2nd I'm going to Florida with my Aunt as a birthday present. I am excited because I have never been to Florida. Its the perfect escape from this dreary weather here in New York. I saw this Forever 21 bikini and its exactly what I want for the beach and pool. The pattern is different from the usual, I like to stand out. Let's hope my mom will get it.

5. I just like these sunglasses they're cute and will look great with high waisted shorts. Can't for summer to come back.

6. Don't get me started with Temple Run... its an addiction and I need to beat my high score soon!

7. I never owned lipstick and when I do buy one it will be pale pink. Because, its simple, clean and can go with anything I wear. Plus I need some color on my lips.

8. With a new project I have occupied myself, I need to be organized than ever with school, yearbook, a social life and a spring fashion show in my local area. I haven't gotten sleep lately, I miss my naps. However I am so grateful for this opportunity and can't wait to see the end result in April.

February 5 through March 6 Jason Wu's collection for Target will be available! Music to my ears. These moments give me tears of joy because finally I get buy something from my favorite designers, without feeling guilty about it. Actually that doesn't happen to me, I don't buy anything from designers. I'm 15 and don't have that kind of money laying around. However, if I did have money I would still feel guilty making my wallet shrink. Anyway I can't wait to drag my aunt Ilan to Target to purchase this lovely collection. I'm really feeling the navy dress in the middle, first thing I'm buying! 

The Basic Information

My legal name is Yamilex Peña, long story short I like to go by Yamilex Santana. I currently go to a lovely high school (I hope you noticed the sarcasm) in New York. I'm only 15 but I can say I have a lot going for me, I have a BIG future for myself. I love fashion so I want to work in fashion, enough said. I consider myself a nerd and I hold that title with pride. I'm just saying don't get mad at me when I have a brighter future than you, I worked for it.

My First Time

Well this is exciting, my first blog! I'm not sure why I decided to start blogging, I just hopped on the wagon I guess. It looks fun and I like reading them, so I said to myself "I can do that!". I'm quite not sure what to talk about, I'll figure it out soon.
