EB Looks

Here are the looks I styled for Elizabeth Boutique. The first outfit I would say is for a causal day with friends, maybe in the going to city. The second look is for another outfit I would of thought of if I still went to Coachella. And finally the third is something I would wear to the beach or an amusement park.

Job Shadow Day

Today I had such an amazing experience. My school offers a Job Shadow Day, it's when you follow or "shadow" a person in the career you are interested to work in. You spend the day with them and ask questions you're interested in. I picked fashion for my career of pursuit (what a shocker I know). I was assigned to visit Elizabeth Boutique, and I learned so much! When I think of a boutique not a lot comes to mind, but Beth (the owner) addressed to me what actually goes into a boutique. I was flabbergasted. I think the most exciting thing about working in retail has to be buy new inventory. The best part of it all was when Beth let me style outfits with the new items that had arrived.

Thank you Beth and Robin (I hope I spelled her name right, sorry) for being so welcoming.

Hot Hot Hot

Today was a beautiful day. The weather : high 90! The first 90 of spring in New York. Everything was illuminated by the sun and just glistened, truly astonishing. But of course I, however, can not enjoy this magic. My allergies are a problem. I probably got up for tissues at least 30 times. Overall I had a great day and I loved my outfit. Unfortunately I missed Coachella... Reason: I'm in New York. No one would take me. Instead I came up with this look. If I went to Coachella, I would have worn this outfit.

I was not there to see the Arctic Monkeys perform, boohoo ):

Wearing: vintage ACDC tank top and jean shirt, Forever 21 shorts, Brown oxfords.

Creepers are not creepy

Creepers
want creepers so bad! I love the grunge look of it. If I had a pair I would wear it like this look I made on Polyvore. Don't even get me started on the Givenchy bag I added on to it... amazing!

Givenchy + creepers = magic

Too close for comfort

These close up of celebrities really make my day. Mainly because, you can see they don't look perfect ..at all. Some actually look like ordinary people. However, it's not cute. I would never want a close up of my face ... embarrassing!

I'm actually productive

I finally had a productive day. I was invited to attend an education class at Vassar and visit the campus. I am absolutely in love with Vassar, the people, and generally the atmosphere. I was nervous everyone would be snobby, and act like they know everything. But, actually it's the opposite! Everyone is so welcoming and supportive... especially the professor. Vassar is a school I would consider applying, however; the school does not offer the business classes I want to major in. So sad ):

After Vassar, I went to my friend Ibby's house. I had such a good time. Even got more done: I found out a boy doesn't like me, visited my old elementary school, had a photo shoot for photo class, ate pizza and watched Disney Channel.

Seriously a productive day. I wish every day was like this!

Wearing: All Forever 21 (Like everyone else, it's my favorite store) and my mom's old purse.

Vassar = Summer

Finally I heard back from Vassar, I got in! A while ago, I applied for the Exploring College Program at Vassar College. It's a great program for students to experience college and the whole admission process. The program consists with a two week stay at Vassar in the summer and meeting your mentor monthly. I can't wait for the summer!

For my interview I wore this. I wanted to look a little preppy, but interesting. That's why I added the Mona Lisa necklace, I got it from my grandma (love you girl).

Bronx

Went to the Bronx with Jazmine and her family. I had such a great time! Look at Casper, he is just precious. I really wanted to steal him. Not lying.

My Other Half

I will like to introduce you all to my best friend Jazmine. She is beautiful, funny, smart, outgoing, and and overall amazing friend. I love our friendship, she is always there for as I am for her. I consider her my sister and part of the family. We understand each other so well, if it wasn't for her, I don't think I would be surviving high school. I love that we are different and have our own personalities. She likes hip-hop and R&B, while I like electric and rock. Our styles are so different, and we appreciate that. We don't try to look the same (only on certain occasions). It is so crazy because I've known her for almost 4 years now, and we never had a big fight. NEVER. That's what I love about us, we are chill people. I love you Jazmine and I'm glad I can call you my best friend.

Can't wait until we move to New York City!
