Recently a video (short film) was released from the Invisible Children (nonprofit organization), it raised awareness about the #1 Worst War Criminal in the world, Joseph Kony. Kony is the leader of the LRA (Lord's Resistance Army) in Uganda, who's been doing evil for more than 20 years. His method to gain soldiers is by abducting children, varies ages, and making them into child soldiers or sex slaves. He has abducted over 30,000 innocent children and traumatized them by doing unimaginable things, like, killing their own parents. These children live in constant fear of being abducted or killed. They go through this as a daily basis. What's even more shocking is Kony does not have an objective, or reason as to why he is doing all of this. The only noticeable one is to keep power. The ICC (International Criminal Court) wants to arrest Kony for many of his humanitarian violations.
However, there is a problem, we can't find him and half of the world doesn't even know who he is, and it's crucial for Kony to be arrested by this year. Because, he might and can advance to different nations and gain momentum. Soon being even harder to find. The U.S have sent 100 troops to Uganda to help find and arrest Joseph Kony.
With the help and serious prompting by the Invisible Children, they have thousands of followers, like me, who want to make a difference in the world. But, we need even more help. To find Kony, we need to make Kony famous. Make him into a celebrity. People need to know who he is. To bring him into our social media attention, we need important people to promote him so others can follow. Like, 12 celebrities and 12 policy makers. On their twitter, you can message them and ask them to make Kony famous. Once they agree, a lot more people will take notice.
This is truly important and life changing to those involved. Just by talking about it you can make a difference. Make Kony famous!
